Pitching for the Super Bowl LV

Diace Designs, Owner, Jessica Reed on PITCH Day

The recent pandemic has affected everyone around the globe, and it’s during difficult times like these that it becomes even more important to appreciate the wins you’ve worked so hard to achieve. For us here at Diace Designs, it has been a bittersweet month. We found ourselves working at superhuman pace to complete projects with rapidly changing deadlines, fielding concerned calls from friends and family, and comforting colleagues as they faced an uncertain future. At the same time, we discovered that we managed to achieve something extraordinary.

Earlier this year, we—along with more than 1,200 other businessesapplied for the Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Business Connect program. This program connects diverse local businesses to the many business opportunities afforded by one of the nation’s most anticipated sporting events. Out of the businesses who applied, only a small percentage were invited to pitch their businesses to the judging committee. Then, out of those who pitched, only 200 businesses were selected to officially join the Super Bowl LV Business Connect program.

It is our absolute honor to announce that Diace Designs has been designated as an approved vendor of the Super Bowl LV Business Connect program. We are one of 200 local diverse businesses in the Tampa Bay area identified as a certified, experienced special event production company approved to compete for contracts related to Super Bowl.

We could not be more excited, and we are so proud of our team for all the hard work that has led us to this opportunity. With only five (5) minutes to introduce ourselves and convince the Business Connect committee that we deserved to be considered as a vendor for the upcoming Super Bowl, we were truly unsure of what the outcome would be. Thankfully, we have a lot of experience preparing for game-changing presentations. We know how important it is to stay on your toes and be prepared for last-minute changes! In the end, all of the efforts were worth it and we can’t wait to see what new opportunities and experiences are ahead for Diace Designs.

As you look to the future, remember to celebrate your wins, large and small. It’s one small way to foster hope during these uncertain times. We wish you and your loved ones health, happiness, and success in the weeks and months to come.
