Looking Back on the Working Women of Tampa Bay 7th Annual Conference

At their 7th annual conference on September 5-6, 2019, Working Women of Tampa Bay celebrated 10 fantastic years of empowering professional women through education, community service, and networking opportunities. As one of the group’s original members and ambassadors, Diace Designs contributed to the event’s success by designing a brand new conference website that drew praise from members, attendees, and sponsors.

Nearly 10 years ago, Diace Designs founder and Chief Creative Officer, Jessica Reed, was introduced to the founder of Working Women of Tampa Bay, Jessica Rivelli. Aside from sharing a name, the two also shared a passion for entrepreneurship and a strong desire to support the growing community of professional women in the Tampa Bay area. When our Jessica decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship herself by forming Diace Designs, it was Jessica Rivelli who encouraged her and who became one of Diace’s first clients.

Diace Designs was proud to pay it forward this year by contributing seed money to the Working Women Foundation at the recent Working Women conference. Since launching the foundation in 2016, Working Women has provided $15,000 to more than 20 women-owned startups.

Overall, the 7th annual Working Women conference was a tremendous success. More than 300 attendees participated in the two-day event, where more than 40 speakers presented stories and information to inspire, motivate, and empower working women from all over the state of Florida. Even the Mayor of Tampa, Jane Castor, was in attendance to show her support for Working Women of Tampa Bay. The Decade of Dynamic Women Dinner on the first evening of the conference was a tribute to the women who have put their all into growing the Working Women organization over the past 10 years. Reflecting back on the past decade of growth was one of the highlights of the conference.
